Her style is coloured by contrast and playfulness overlaid by the elegance of classicism, drawing on the sensibility of fusion developed by design icons such as David Hicks and Kelly Wearstler. Whether she is working with a blank canvas or challenging limits, Susie will create a space that is cosmopolitan and cultured and designed to be lived in.
Design is at its essence a communication; the communication of a vision for personal space through the curation of the objects and textures within. Susie started her career in communications, in creative advertising where it intersected with home décor. Promoting brands such as Gluckstein Home and House & Home while at the Hudson's Bay Company, she has repeatedly demonstrated an ability to work to corporate objectives as well as for private clients.
Susie's work, from small budget makeovers to full-scale renovations, has been featured on various HGTV television productions and can be seen on a range of shows in Canada, the U.S and Great Britain. Part of Susie's talent lies in identifying and partnering with the right suppliers to provide the opportunity to promote products while maintaining brand integrity and achieving visual impact -- in other words, creating stunning spaces before the camera and strong partnerships behind-the-scenes.
An experienced interior stylist, art director, and brand manager of all things fabulous, her primary focus these days is to help her residential clients optimize the world within their home.
